Island Pottery & Studio is a teaching studio where we utilize pottery wheels or hand-building techniques to build a variety of usable and sculptural ceramic objects. Our teachers provide instruction, in small class settings, on the techniques of pottery making. We teach ages 7+ years old to adults. 

 TUITION AND EVENTS COSTS
(As of June 2024)

ADULT CLASSES   (HAND-BUILDING OR WHEEL)
One class per week for 2.5 hours / Tuition includes clay, glaze and instruction.
8 week semester ... $480 (discounted rate)
4 week semester ... $260

TEEN WHEEL
One class per week for 2 hours / Tuition includes clay, glaze, instruction and firing.  
8 week semester ... $420 (discounted rate)
4 week semester ... $230
 

KIDS CLAY GROUPS
One class per week for 1.5 hours / Tuition includes clay, glaze, studio tools, instruction and firing.
Siblings’ tuition always discounted 10% if enrolled in same class.  
8 week semester ... $300 (discounted rate)
4 week semester ... $170
 

Note for all classes above:

• A $50 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot until the next cycle, thereafter it is forfeited.
• Full tuition is due at the start of the first class. No refunds once the semester begins.
• Firing fees are paid prior to firing.
• Missed classes may be made up in other classes or added to the end of your semester (one missed class for 4-week session, two missed classes for 8- week session). 

OPEN STUDIO  - $5 per hour.
Practice time without instruction for registered adult members currently enrolled in classes. Firing fees are additional.  

WORKSPACE POTTERS - Monthly fee ... $180
For experienced potters who need a place to work during our Open Studio times and with space availability at other times. This option includes a shelf for storage, clay, and glaze. Other terms & conditions apply. Firing fees are additional.  In case of absence, a $30 monthly fee applies for shelf use.

ADULT “PARTTERY” - Up to 8 people ... $65/person
Bring in friends, spouses, or co-workers for 2 hours of mud and lots of fun. We'll learn to roll coils to make a unique bowl design. 2 hours, clay, glaze, firings included. A $50 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot.    

MOONLIGHT POTTERY - Up to 8 people - $75/person
This Friday or Saturday evening class is a one-time experience for individuals 18+ years old who are curious about throwing on the wheel; want to have an unforgettable date night; or wish to try a new activity with friends. This is geared towards individuals without experience in clay. Additional firing fees may apply. This is a prepaid, non-refundable and non-nonscheduled class.
